Numeric: Research Roundup on AI Close Automation and What It Really Costs

Published · Numeric listing

What it is

Numeric sells close management for month-end. The product includes checklists and project management, live ERP integrations with auto-reconciliation, ongoing transaction monitoring, custom reporting, flux analysis and review notes [1]. Numeric has also expanded into Cash Management (transaction matching and live bank feeds), Billing and Revenue, and an "ERP Replacement" bundle. That bundle includes subledger automation and an in-app AI called Prism, which surfaces items that need review [1]. The integrations Numeric names include NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks and Xero [2].

Pricing: watch the dates

This is where the sources conflict:

  • Numeric's current pricing page has no list prices. It says each plan is priced on transaction volume, number of seats, and the modules you buy, and that onboarding and migration are scoped upfront [1].
  • Numeric's own blog comparison, along with several 2026 guides, still lists an Essentials plan at $30 per user per month, with Growth and Enterprise priced by quote [2][4][5].
  • AI Statements read the pricing page on October 9, 2026, and reports that Essentials is no longer listed. It cites Vendr buyer data: a median contract of about $15,000 a year, ranging from about $4,320 to $41,976 across 48 purchases [3].

So treat $30/user as a historical price you might still see, and expect a quote. The Vendr figures are third-party estimates, not prices Numeric publishes [3].

Who it fits

Numeric's own materials aim it at controllers at growing companies, especially those running NetSuite, spreadsheets and Slack, who want task dependencies, multiple reviewers, and flux commentary drafted by AI [2]. The older tier descriptions suggest QuickBooks and Xero teams fit the mid-tier [4][5].

Caveats

Most of the detailed claims here come from Numeric or from competitors' blogs. For example, Bluecopa, which publishes a Numeric pricing article, sells a competing product [5]. Independent reviews from users are thin in the sources we found. A v2 should add G2 and Reddit perspectives.

Questions to ask

  1. Which modules do we need, and what does each one cost at our transaction volume? [1]
  2. Is Essentials (or anything like it) still offered? [3]
  3. What are the onboarding and migration fees? [1]
